Jobs opportunities in Australian High Commission for Pakistan, seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated people to fill several positions in the Immigration and Citizenship Section. Successful applicants will be offered a one-year contract of employment that may be extended subject to agreement between the employer and employee. A three-month probationary period applies.

Successful candidates will work with Australian Immigration officers, providing interpreting services in client interviews for a range of visa applications. They will also provide administrative support in a range of office processes, managing client appointments, answering client inquiries and other duties as required.

Selection Criteria
Please ensure you address all selection criteria in your job application. The statement against each criterion must be no longer than 350 words.
1. Mandatory: Fluent in English, Dari and Urdu (both spoken and written)
2. Experience providing interpreting services in client interviews
3. Experience in a client service environment, interacting with clients face-to face, bytelephoneande-mail
4. Demonstrated experience working with computer-based applications and record-keeping systems
5. Experience providing administrative support, including scheduling and managing client appointments
6. Good organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team in a high pressure environment

Note: In addition to the mandatory languages, fluent Pashto (spoken and written) is also highly desirable.
